Chapter 18 | Mokṣha Sanyās Yog | Verse 02

श्रीभगवानुवाच
काम्यानां कर्मणां न्यासं सन्न्यासं कवयो विदु:
सर्वकर्मफलत्यागं प्राहुस्त्यागं विचक्षणा:

śhrī-bhagavān uvācha
kāmyānāṁ karmaṇāṁ nyāsaṁ sannyāsaṁ kavayo viduḥ
sarva-karma-phala-tyāgaṁ prāhus tyāgaṁ vichakṣhaṇāḥ

શ્રીભગવાનુવાચ
કામ્યાનાં કર્મણાં ન્યાસં સન્ન્યાસં કવયો વિદુઃ
સર્વકર્મફલત્યાગં પ્રાહુસ્ત્યાગં વિચક્ષણાઃ 

MEANING

The Blessed Lord said:
“The wise understand sannyāsa to mean the renunciation of actions performed with selfish desires (desire-driven actions). The discerning declare tyāga to mean the renunciation of the fruits of all actions.”

श्रीभगवान ने कहा:
“विद्वान लोग कामना से किए जाने वाले कर्मों का त्याग संन्यास कहते हैं, और बुद्धिमान लोग सभी कर्मों के फल का त्याग त्याग कहते हैं।”

ભગવાને કહ્યું:
“જ્ઞાની લોકો ઇચ્છા અને સ્વાર્થથી કરવામાં આવતા કામ્ય કર્મોનો ત્યાગ એ સંન્યાસ કહે છે. અને વિવેકી લોકો બધા કર્મોના ફળનો ત્યાગ એ ત્યાગ કહે છે.”
