Chapter 18 | Mokṣha Sanyās Yog | Verse 05

यज्ञदानतप:कर्म न त्याज्यं कार्यमेव तत्
यज्ञो दानं तपश्चैव पावनानि मनीषिणाम्

yajña-dāna-tapaḥ-karma na tyājyaṁ kāryam eva tat
yajño dānaṁ tapaśh chaiva pāvanāni manīṣhiṇām

યજ્ઞદાનતપઃકર્મ ન ત્યાજ્યં કાર્યમેવ તત્
યજ્ઞો દાનં તપશ્ચૈવ પાવનાનિ મનીષિણામ્

MEANING

“The acts of sacrifice (yajña), charity (dāna), and austerity (tapas) should not be abandoned; they must indeed be performed. For sacrifice, charity, and austerity are purifying for the wise.”

“યજ્ઞ, દાન અને તપ જેવા કર્મોનો ત્યાગ કરવો જોઈએ નહીં; તે તો કરવાના જ છે. કારણ કે યજ્ઞ, દાન અને તપ જ્ઞાની લોકોના મનને પવિત્ર અને શુદ્ધ બનાવે છે.”
