Chapter 17 | Śhraddhā Traya Vibhāg Yog| Verse 23

ॐ तत्सदिति निर्देशो ब्रह्मणस्त्रिविध: स्मृत: ।
ब्राह्मणास्तेन वेदाश्च यज्ञाश्च विहिता: पुरा

oṁ tat sad iti nirdeśho brahmaṇas tri-vidhaḥ smṛitaḥ
brāhmaṇās tena vedāśh cha yajñāśh cha vihitāḥ purā

ૐ તત્ સદિતિ નિર્દેશો બ્રહ્મણસ્ત્રિવિધઃ સ્મૃતઃ ।
બ્રાહ્મણાસ્તેન વેદાશ્ચ યજ્ઞાશ્ચ વિહિતાઃ પુરા

MEANING

“Om, Tat, Sat”—these three are considered the threefold designation of Brahman (the Supreme Reality). From ancient times, the Brahmanas, the Vedas, and the sacrifices (yajñas) were established by these.

‘ॐ’, ‘तत्’ और ‘सत्’—ये तीनों परब्रह्म के तीन पवित्र नाम माने गए हैं। इन्हीं के द्वारा प्राचीन काल में ब्राह्मण, वेद और यज्ञ की व्यवस्था की गई।

‘ૐ’, ‘તત્’ અને ‘સત્’—આ ત્રણ પરબ્રહ્મના ત્રિવિધ પવિત્ર નિર્દેશ (નામો) માનવામાં આવે છે. પ્રાચીન સમયથી બ્રાહ્મણો, વેદો અને યજ્ઞોની સ્થાપના આ ત્રણના આધારે કરવામાં આવી છે.
