Chapter 10 | Vibhuti Yog | Verse 35
बृहत्साम तथा साम्नां गायत्री छन्दसामहम् ।
मासानां मार्गशीर्षोऽहमृतूनां कुसुमाकर:
bṛihat-sāma tathā sāmnāṁ gāyatrī chhandasām aham
māsānāṁ mārga-śhīrṣho ’ham ṛitūnāṁ kusumākaraḥ
બૃહત્સામ તથા સામ્નાં ગાયત્રી છન્દસામહમ્ ।
માસાનાં માર્ગશીર્ષોઽહમૃતૂનાં કુસુમાકરઃ
MEANING
“Among the hymns of the Sama Veda I am the Brihat-Sama; among poetic meters I am the Gayatri; among the months I am Margashirsha; and among the seasons I am the spring (the season of flowers).”
“सामवेद के गायनों में मैं बृहत्साम हूँ, छन्दों में मैं गायत्री छन्द हूँ, महीनों में मैं मार्गशीर्ष हूँ और ऋतुओं में मैं वसन्त (फूलों की ऋतु) हूँ।”
“સામગાનોમાં હું બૃહત્સામ છું, છંદોમાં હું ગાયત્રી છંદ છું, મહિનાઓમાં હું માર્ગશીર્ષ છું અને ઋતુઓમાં હું વસંત ઋતુ (ફૂલોની ઋતુ) છું.”
