Chapter 2 |Sānkhya Yog| Verse 35

भयाद्रणादुपरतं मंस्यन्ते त्वां महारथा: ।
येषां च त्वं बहुमतो भूत्वा यास्यसि लाघवम्

bhayād raṇād uparataṁ mansyante tvāṁ mahā-rathāḥ
yeṣhāṁ cha tvaṁ bahu-mato bhūtvā yāsyasi lāghavam

ભયાદ્રણાદુપરતં મંસ્યન્તે ત્વાં મહારથાઃ ।
યેષાં ચ ત્વં બહુમતોભૂત્વા યાસ્યસિ લાઘવમ્ ॥

MEANING

The great warriors (Maharathas) will think that you have withdrawn from the battle out of fear.
And you will fall into disgrace in the eyes of those who once held you in high esteem.

महान योद्धा तुम्हें यह समझेंगे कि तुम भय के कारण युद्ध से पीछे हट गए हो।
और जिनके बीच तुम अत्यंत सम्मानित थे, उनके सामने तुम्हारी प्रतिष्ठा कम हो जाएगी।

મહારથીઓ માનશે કે તું ભયના કારણે યુદ્ધમાંથી પાછો હટી ગયો છે.
અને જેમના વચ્ચે તું બહુ માન્ય હતો, તેમના નજરમાં તું અપમાનિત બની જશે.
